About Kitty Stone Elementary School
Kitty Stone Elementary serves PreK-6th grade students in the city of Jacksonville, Alabama, in Calhoun County. It is located about 55 miles northeast of Birmingham. The elementary school is brand new this year, and is the only elementary school in the Jacksonville City system. We prepare all students for a successful life by offering our students music, engineering, robotics, and art along with the core subjects of reading, language, math, science, and social studies. Our students learn how to be respectful, responsible, and resourceful citizens.

We have almost 900 students enrolled in Kitty Stone Elementary. We offer out-of-district students in grades K-6 the opportunity to attend our school through the system's tuition policy. K-3 classes average 21 students, and 4th-6th grade classrooms average 26 students.
